Barcelona has formalised the names of candidates for Barcelona president, who have secured the firms needed for participation in the election this afternoon.
They are Joan Laporta, Víctor Font and Tony Freixa, who are expected to race for the top leadership post on January 24th, though it is not yet clear whether the elections will be able to be held on this date as a result of the coronary emergency.
They were unable to carry on the battle, Benedito, Villiaana, Farré, Fernández Alá, Riera, and Roussaud. The latter announced this afternoon that he was withdrawing from the process.
The Electoral Board has made public the number of firms that secured three candidates. Thus, out of the 10 272 firms Laporta presented on Monday, 925 have confirmed. Four 431 confirmed for the Fonts and Freix 2 634.
