Sean Duches' boys traveled to Merseyside with little expectations for the match. But, in the end, there was a 1-0 victory, thanks to a penalty concreteised by Ashley Barnes at the end of the meeting.
No Liverpool player impressed, but one in particular was being extremely criticised and he is defender Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Right defense has had difficulties at certain times this season, and so it was Thursday night.
Alexander - Arnold tried 18 cross-steps from an open game and none of them ever found a player. An attempt from 21 to total eventually found a red lantern.
This makes him the only player at Premier League over five seasons that has not completed any cross-country with 12 + Tentry in one match. Until no player has had more attempts to cross this season.
As if that wasn't enough, he also lost a full 39-time ball, which is the new record for this season, trying to break the record two weeks ago that he himself set up in the match against Southampton when he lost the ball 38 times.
