In the extraordinary elections for the Kosovo Assembly, VV assemblywoman in Mitrovica's Kevrije Bahtiri is expected to run for deputy.
This has been confirmed for the newspaper sources within the party, who say there are many interested people within the VV for candidacy.
Jevrija, a professor at the Gymnasine “Frang Bardi”, for two consecutive terms was the AKR's most vice president of the Municipal Assembly, since last year, together with the AKR branch had passed to Vetevendosje Movement, time when the subject led by Albin Kurti was joined by Mitrovica chairman Agim Bahtiri.
For two mandates she was the head of the AKR assemblies in the Municipal Assembly in Mitrovica, while now she is a member of the Committee for Policy and Finance from VV ranks.
However, it is worth stressing that she is the sister of Mitrovica municipality chairman.
