The deputy chairman of this party, Ahmet Isufi, said the AAK will go alone in these elections, but does not rule out the possibility of post-election coalitions.
We only have to go as a particular political subject and at the same time we're going to be part of the government because we've always claimed to take responsibility and we also have the list that's forming, but it's not definitely right now because it has time. We will be part of the Government regardless of who can stand up the party, which may have the right to form Government”.
He has clarified that they have no red lines with any political party.
“We have long stated that we have no red lines against political parties because we've known since it's called power coming, everyone is forgetting red lines. That's why we have long stated that democracy functions when with political parties there is partnership and you don't have the hostility”, Isufi added.
Speaking of Ramush Haradinaj's candidacy for president of the country, he says they are insisting on this position, knowing it has a very important role for the state.
We have the claim of president as a very important role for the country and knowing that then in Government we take responsibility, but we don't want to have past claims because we need to be in Government having the president as a very important role for the state. But we've already stated that we insist on the president because we think he has a key role in leading the state and we think that since we've offered him as such, then we will communicate with political parties to vote in the future in the Kosovo Parliament”.
As for running persons convicted of various criminal acts, he says the decisions of responsible institutions should be respected.
All who oppose the law and have firm court ruling and who are opposed to running for elections normally we will respect because it is the first basis of democracy and rule of law”.
The leader of this party, Ramush Haradinaj, has declared that this party will not have a candidate for prime minister in these elections.
