For the first time since 2013, Lewis Hamilton is no longer a Mercedes employee. The British pilot's contract, 7-time world champion in Forum 1, expired on December 31st, broadcast Periscope.
He has not yet decided on the future, even though sometimes it has been talked about the parties' renewal it.
Media confirm that the parties are not finding and sharing, as the British pilot requires a four-year contract, with $50m paid annually. Mercedes is offering a 1+1 contract, that is, for 2021 with the right to renovation for 2022 when new regulations go into effect.
