Dardans gathered yesterday in the hotel “Venus”, until today they have conducted two training sessions at the “Agron Rama” under the selection Aferdita Fazlija and assistants Veton Citaku, Sanije Krasniqi of Besart Ismajli.
In contrast to the past, this time due to the pandemic, the duel nation will enter with football players from Superleague clubs, except for the Erellet Memeti and Edona Kastrat who have joined the team during the day.
Although with a new football group and forces from the local championship optimism for success is not lacking.
Enthusiasm, will and desire for the most dignified performance are noted in each of the players gathered, but concern remains physical form, given that the women's football activity in Kosovo has been interrupted for a long time because of the pandemic. The match between Kosovo and Estonia will take place Friday at the “Fadil Vokri” stadium.
They declared after the training:
Venus Fazlija: For this gathering we've had a lot of trouble, because we've only been limited to players from the local championship. In fact, even before the gathering we did our tests for Ovid 19 and actually until after the results, we weren't sure which players we'd have available. Hence, this gathering does not differ from the present life that we are passing on as a result of our pandemic. Not only in Kosovo, but generally in the world the pandemic has affected women's football more. In addition to Mitrovica players who have trained in the group, other players have tried to keep their shape only with individual training, so what worries me most is how much we will be able to do physically. Estonia is a solid and has much longer experience than we do, but we will not be indifferent and enter for victory. From today, optimism is even greater because we have been joined by the Erellet Mehmeti and Edona Kastrati.
Memeti Erera: We won the first match in Estonia 2:1. I think we're gonna win again, even though we're gonna miss a lot of players. Personally, I am happy to be able to join the team, though with great difficulty because of the pandemic. Now we have to work on training as much as possible and show up as compact as we can during the game.
Edon Kryeziu: We won the first match against Estonia, even though it's hard enough. Now the situation is different because we play with local players, but we'll try our best to win. Of course, it will not be easy to achieve this goal at all because we have numerous shortages, and even some of the players have not held long-term matches or group training. In any case, there is optimism in each of us and we will do our utmost to end this fight successfully.
