“in the next six months, it was planned to train with representatives of other world armies a total of eight times, four times with the armies of the East and four times with the armies of the West”, Voulin said.
On the other hand, NATO has said it has not planned specific events with Serbia in the coming months, but remains committed to a partnership, “in the interest of stability and security in the region”.
The North-Atlantic Alliance made comments on the Balkan Radio Service Free Europe on 9 September, after the Government of Serbia decided on Wednesday that, in the next six months, it froze all military exercises and activities.
The Serbian Government's decision came a day after the Ministry of Defence of Belarus published information that members of the Serbian Army Armed Forces will participate in joint training with Russia and Belarus, dubbed “Slavic Brotherhood”.
