The country's president, Hashim Thaci, after signing the agreement in Washington, has said through a statement sent to the media that Kosovo believes in the leadership of the United States and Washington's vision, as it has brought only benefits, such as the liberation and independence of Kosovo, the establishment of the military that will end with NATO integration, as well as economic development.
President Thaci has expressed the highest consideration for the President of the United States' leadership and has once again thanked Special Emissar, Ambassador Green, for his commitment.

Economic development, creation of new jobs, increased social welfare for citizens, infrastructure projects with large capital, airlines, railways and highways have always been the priority of the state of Kosovo, as has the need to whitewash the fate of the unemployed and the individual return of all displaced persons to their homes and properties. These commitments have had positive effects throughout the Western Balkans.
Express the highest consideration for the leadership of the President of the United States, President Trump, who today managed to materialise efforts to reach consensus between the state of Kosovo and the state of Serbia for the benefit of peace, economic development and the Euro-Atlantic future.
I thank the Special Emissar, Ambassador Green, once again for his huge commitment to this process to be productive, efficient, and I believe implemented.
Kosovo believes in the leadership of the United States and Washington's vision, as throughout Kosovo's history it has brought only benefits, such as the liberation and independence of Kosovo, the establishment of the military that will end with NATO integration, as well as economic development.
Kosovo must now continue to work for membership in international organisations and for new recognitions, so that our state can be fully consolidated on the domestic and international plains.
