Infectious clinic rooms at QKUKU have become a second home for many patients being treated by Coronavirus. Each day, patients who lose the battle come out of this building and those who recover from the disease.
The Online Economics team has remained one day within the Infectious Clinic, where the difficult breathing of patients and the sound of equipment helping them breathe are the only things heard.
To see these patients, the Minister of Health, Armend Zemaj, accompanied by USKKUK Director Valbon Krasniqi, came to visit.
A little better situation was seen by LDK deputy Fetah Rudi. He for Online Economy said his situation is going by improving as he appealed for increased care.
It's been a few days ago, but it's starting to get worse, but now I'm a little better and I think I'm going to get through it. On the basis of the conditions they are, the service is good but it needs a little more conditions, to help health personnel”, Rudi told EO.
Big words for the health staff gave another patient at the Infectious Clinic. Vegam Vuciter said every 15 minutes they're visited by doctors.
I came five days ago and with COVID-19 I was diagnosed. I've had it for a week, but I've neglected it and then because of the pain I haven't been able to deal with the pain and I've gone to the airport for Coronavirus and I've been told I'm positive”.
And then I came to the Infectious Clinic, which doctors and nurses have received very well, and I am very pleased with the work these people are doing. I'm very pleased with the treatment they do and I believe that I will soon recover. Every 15 minutes they come and control me”, he said, as he appealed that citizens do not neglect this virus, saying that the virus is present and trying.
And Health Minister Andmend Zemaj said the aim remains to remove the overloads of this clinic. Zemaj said he has seen the discipline and commitment of doctors and nurses in the fight against Coronourou.
We're walking into a management and decentralisation of services above all to remove large overloads that have been under this clinic but to take experiences and see the new treatment that is becoming patients even in clinical terms. What we're seeing here is a discipline and commitment of doctors and nurses”.
Speaking of the situation in this clinic, Zemaj said the decline in the number of patients with COVID-19 is an additional motivation for health personnel.
According to him, citizens must further apply the recommendations of health institutions.
This should be an additional motivation for us to apply government measures and recommendations and as much as we can increase care, we facilitate the work of doctors and preserve life. So this is the best message”.
“It's a dynamic job and together with all health professionals we're looking for greater commitment but we're going to ask for accountability, but once again these guys have requests for the minister and the KSKKUK, which we should jointly choose with the Government of Kosovo”, Zemaj said.
Meanwhile, incumbent Valbon Krasniqi said health professionals have witnessed their experience in connection with this virus.
Krasniqi added that how KSKUK is in the phase of reducing clinics and departments treating patients with COVID-19.
“is evidence that health professionals already have good experiences with treating patients with COVID-19. We as KSKUK now are in the phase of reducing clinics and departments dealing with these patients in the sense of what we're now proving patients to be kept only in the Infectious Clinic and Pulmology, since we have a smaller number of”.
And you know that by July 21st, the Gynecology Department has been closed, so we don't have patients there, and this week we've also attracted patients to the Neurology Clinic to get back to their clinic services. So there is a decline, a slight trend of lowering the number of cases that are requiring hospital treatment, yet attention should be at the highest level of”, he said.
Zemaj's Krasniqi has said that the decline in the number of infected should not translate into negligence.
