Albania's president, Ilir Meta, has ruled that parliamentary elections in Albania be held on April 25th of next year, broadcast the Anadolu Agency (AA).
After consulting political parties on the appointment of the Albanian Parliament election date, I decree that elections for the Parliament be held on Sunday, April 25th, 2021”, said in the decree of President Meta, published by Albania's Presidency press office.
Albania's constitution stipulates that the Assembly is elected every 4 years and comprised of 140 MPs.
The last parliamentary elections in Albania were held in 2017, which won the Socialist Party of Albania, led by Prime Minister Edi Rama, as the second ruling mandate.
