COVID-19's pandemic threatens to reverse progress in the health of women and children by a decade, according to a United Nations report released today.

Last year, 5.2 million children died for preventable causes before they reached the age of five, and 82 million of those deaths were concentrated in sub - Saharan Africa and South Asia.
