Before the Main Center of Medicine Family members of Podujevo, drivers, hygienic personnel and other workers have protested for not involvement in additional 300-euro salaries for July and August. They have warned of boycotting work unless they receive the additions for these two months.
The head of the QKMF Workers Union in Podujevo, Shecir Maliqi, said that non-applicating this extension for 61 employees of this QKMF is discrimination.
The union's leader also stated that if their demands are not taken into account, they will boycott jobs regardless of the needs.
Maliqi said that despite numerous demands they have not been taken into account.
We have two infected drivers with a technical worker who's with a positive Coddy, we have a hygienist who's with a positive Cove and we consider it to be a discrimination. We have only one warning today. I've asked my colleagues to scale up. We are asking that the 300-euro extensions for July and August of these people be paid as soon as possible or that we leave the job and boycott the consequences will take place, he said.
That they won't continue to work unless the additions are executed and the head of the ambulance, Naim Hoxha, says.
While it shows that a colleague of theirs has already passed COVID says they're feeling as endangered as medical staff are.
We're the ones who've taken their wages. We've got one with COVIED that today started work... these guys didn't get them before we did... if they didn't do anything, we'd boycott the”, Hoxha said.
Also endangered is the manager of this QKMF, Naxhije Haliti, who told Kosovo Press that all remaining waste behind medical services must be removed.
We're in danger as if we're not in danger, our colleague is in COVID. We too are in danger because the garbage and everything these doctors use we have to move them and clean me up. The doctor did not enter without cleaning or the technician all we have to do once to serve”, she stressed.
Nexmedin Mahmut, a QKMF guard in Podujevo, said they are endangered because there are times when in the indisposed absence, there must be an ambulance carrying patients with COVIDD-19, without disinfecting the vehicle to carry patients with other diseases.
“I was without clothes when we went back as a rule to disinfect it. We went to COVID to disinfect it though we were tasked with having people assigned to be uninfected. It was indisposed, so it had to be transported to crash patients or whatever condition you were with which earlier it carried patients with COVID”, he said.
Disgusted with non-involvement are other workers at the University Clinical Centre in Kosovo and regional hospitals.
