Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti detailed his meetings in the European Parliament, as well as spoke of Washington's agreement with Serbia and American investments in Kosovo.
Hoti has mentioned meetings with the European Parliament Speaker and the Committee of Parliamentary Foreign Affairs of various countries that are mainly interested in the Kosovo-Serbia meeting.
Kosovo's prime minister told Euronews Albania that despite the European Commission's years of supporting visa liberalisation, and that there are only countries like France or the Netherlands that are obstructing this process.
Hoti said she is working with the two ministerial-level countries to be convinced that conditions of illegal immigration and organised crime have been met and that such are remaining.
Asked about the position the prime minister will hold if the LDK and AAK do not stay together in the government he has referred to as a hypothetical situation for which he cannot provide an answer.
“I am implementing all the provisions of the agreement and there is no reason for any of the parties to come out of the coalition,”- he said.
The prime minister did not overlook and Israel's recognition, which he considered a very important recognition but clarified that he could not interfere with EU and US policies.
Meanwhile, he also spoke of the possibility that Serbia would be given access to the Adriatic Sea, which he did not consider the right way to see the situation.
Hoti suggests that he be seen in a different perspective, saying he is working for a Pristina-Durra railway, but that he will not only serve those two countries anyway.
Euronews Albania has also asked Prime Minister Hoti for concrete numbers of American investments in Kosovo, where he cited the Pristina-Merdar highway and railway project, the gas project coming from Skopje and from the north RMV and assistance for small- and medium-sized enterprises, for which about a billion dollars will be spent.
Hoti has not spoken specifically about why he withdrew from points which were in Kosovo's best interests, expressing with certainty that this agreement would only bring good and a portion of them have become evident.
Asked if this agreement will be wrapped up in September 2021, Kosovo's prime minister has preferred to be reserved in the deadline.
