Hakki Abazi for the Washington meeting: “Hyp I killed you, go down because I killed you”

Former Deputy Prime Minister Haki Abazi has declared that the Kosovo delegation that has already arrived in Washington, led by Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, has no legitimacy and does not represent anyone in Kosovo.

“actually what is clear is what we've said from the very beginning that people who are part of the delegation do not absolutely represent anyone in Kosovo in the sense of complete legitimacy. When they arrived in Washington, they met an ambassador who is also standing against law in Washington DC as a representative, because it's clear that it's completely in violation of the law”.

“What we also know and it is clear is that the agenda has not been disclosed and on such a serious topic of dialogue with Serbia is the continuation of the political and diplomatic background that has happened to Kosovo for years since the International Court of Justice's decision to declare Kosovo independence. It's a continuation of the unnecessary problem and on the other hand a non-legigration representation, because Avdullah Hoti and the other members of the delegation do not represent the vote and orientation of the ongoing citizens”.

He has said it is shameful that the Kosovo delegation does not know what agenda to talk to the Serbian side at the 4 September meeting in the White House.

It's embarrassing that people have arrived in Washington and don't know the agenda they have to talk about, and it's expected to be made clear tomorrow. I'm speaking from Washington where I arrived yesterday from New York and the election campaign here is at its height. We've heard the endless clashes where Kosovo shouldn't be in the middle of this phase of the presidential election campaign, because it makes it even more unclear and uncertain than in previous stages when we said that even the economic aspects that can be talked about are dangerous to Kosovo's constant fate”.

But what does he expect to happen at the meeting between the Kosovo and the Serbian parties at the White House?

I think we're in a phase, or, rather, these guys got themselves into a situation before I killed you, so I killed you. If you come here and I don't know the agenda, of course you are at the mercy of what may have been discussed and prepared by Hashim Thaci in the past. It is constantly becoming clear that Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciq have had an agreement that has brought Kosovo into a situation that whatever is offered to it at the table, given that even Avdullah Hoti is without legitimacy, has a hard time denying. Ahaz has said he will try to pressure himself into reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia, which can be used in the presidential election campaign as a success.

“One thing I can say is that with the signal Kosovo has given allowing Serbia to apply for the 383 telephone code, including two agreements signed at speed, where Serbia is represented by government-level residential people until Kosovo is technical, until it has also accepted that the Pristina Airport code is the old code it has had in the former Yugoslavia. All of this has been taken as forms of compromise the Kosovo side has made and can do by allowing within Serbia's code to become an economic agreement”.

This seriously and irreverently damages Kosovo's interest and should not be allowed into any form for such a thing to be presented as an independent state, because with what might be defined it amounts to a status of economic independence that Vojvodina has today”.

He has said Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti and other members of the Kosovo delegation do not have enough experience for such a negotiating process.

“Avdullah Hoti except he is weak is also disabled, because he has never participated in such a serious and complex negotiation process that we are talking about. Unfortunately, no one in the Kosovo delegation has a single experience in international negotiations that can actually end up with very serious consequences for the country and the interest of our state”, he has declared.
