Green: In a joke to Kosovo and Serbia I proposed that we call Ujman Lake “Trump Lake”

The administration's special envoy, Trump, for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, in an interview for an American radio has said that disagreements between Kosovo and Serbia, prior to the signing of the Washington Agreement, concerned the name of Lake Weyman. As he spoke of the matter, Green said that “in mockery” had proposed that Ujman Lake be called Lake Trump.
This perceived conflict is somehow conflict over the past 21 years... We've been stuck for 21 years trying to convince them to agree on words and phrase”, he said at the beginning of the interview.
He has later tried to illustrate this to the American audience by example.
There's a lake there, maybe you shouldn't mention that because someone in Kosovo or Serbia can be angry. Much of the lake is in Kosovo, a small part is in Serbia. As we were trying to figure out how to get these two countries to economic co-operation, one of the things we thought about is finding ways around the lake, there are ways to create jobs through energy projects”, he said, continuing where, in his opinion, things were stuck.
As he continued, the U.S. was pushing the two sides “towards this economic moment, they crashed into what should be called Lake”.
The reason is that Kosovars said they should be called what they called, and Serbs by their own name. And I proposed to be named after Kosovo/ Serbia. That's how I angered both sides”, he said.
He has estimated that negotiations in Washington were difficult.
We kept calling him by two names and nobody liked him. This kind of war about words, the symbolic one is, as I told leaders of both leaders: This does not give people the opportunity to pay off loans, does not provide them with food. If you keep fighting for symbolic, surnames, verbs, names, we're not going anywhere. Get rid of these things and move on with the economy. They finally left him, but I made fun of them: If you agree about the name, we could call Lake Trump”, he said.
