EU spokesperson for Foreign Policy and Security Peter Stano has said the next meeting at the expert level between Kosovo and Serbia will be held on Monday, 28 September.
Stano has declared that they have not given a specific date when there will be a summit during the end of this month.
The EU spokesperson has confirmed that the meeting at the expert level will continue on Monday, where the issue of association will not be discussed, Express newspaper reports.
“Dialog will continue, discussions Monday will be about joint financial claims, while discussions on association will not be in this meeting since one side is not ready to speak yet. To be clear, this issue should be addressed as part of the comprehensive agreement, as agreed at the July” summit, he said.
Stano has indicated that the EU is committed to helping the parties reach the point where they agree to a legally binding final agreement.
The “Dialogue is not in crisis. We are continuing because the EU is set for this, the parties are committed to continuing dialogue at the September 7th meeting between Prime Minister Hoti and President Vuciq. The European Union will assist Kosovo and Serbia eventually to reach the point where they reach the legally binding final agreement for normalisation of relations”, Stano has said.
