That warning came at the time when Prime Minister Boris Johnson is preparing to conduct an emergency meeting of the Cobra Committee on Tuesday morning and then come out with a statement in the lower House of Parliament.
“5 thousand cases per day can be expected a month later, so mid-November could bring over 200 casualties a day”, Valance said.
According to him, increasing the number of cases is not the result of increased testing because the percentage of those emerging positive in the coronary test has increased.
The percentage of people infected with Covid-19 at the country level is estimated to be below 8 percent, although in London that figure may be 17 percent.
Great Britain is one of the most affected countries in the pandemic and with the highest number of victims in Europe and around the world.
