Besides liquid oil gas, the methane (CNG) is another driving option that saves the driver and also helps nature thanks to the lowest emissions of CO2.
Cars that can use PNG as fuel are well represented in Europe, so many producers offer versions of their models in Metan.
Among them is Audi, who has just introduced A3 Sportsback 30 G-Tron in a compressed natural gas machine, reports the TCh.
Moreover, this car can also use biogas as fuel.
Canned by a 1.5-liter engine T FSI turbo-bensine, which produces 131 horsepower (96 kW) and 200 NM rotating pairs.
The engine is paired with a 7-speed automatic transmission, and power is transmitted to the front wheels.
German producer claims A3 Sportsback 30 G-Tron speeds from 0 to 100 km/ hour to 9.7 seconds and has maximum speed of 211 km/ hour.
The car has three QNGs (two larger and one smaller) and a gas tank. Average Methane consumption by standard NECC is 3,6-3.5kg / 100km, and CO2 emissions are 9-96 g / km.
If the gas station and two larger PNG reservoirs are packed “to the top of”, the car could run 495km.
The gas tank is located behind the back shaft and has a volume of 9 litres, while the capacity of each of the two largest PNG tanks is about 7kg, and they are placed under the trunk. The youngest is also ahead of the rear axis.
Audi A3 Sportsback 30 G-Tron, among other things, is equipped as standard with LED lanterns, a 10-inch multimedial system screen, a digital instrument panel and a warning system to leave lanes.
The price of this model in Germany starts at 30,705 euros, and arrives at European shops during the fall.
