VV was in power saying Karacheva controls KFOR, now criticises Government for failing to react

The Vetevendosje Movement has reacted to this case. Albulen Haxhiu, former justice minister, has blamed the Hoti Government, for which he said it should resign as reciprocity returns to Serbia.

Therefore, except for this illegal government, legalisation must go along with it, and reciprocity must be returned. What happened yesterday in Karacheva is unacceptable, and this government should give responsibility to”, she wrote.

But, Albin Kurti as prime minister in office, had cancelled special units operations in Zubin Potok and Karace, as it according to him, it is not monitored by the Kosovo Police because it is located between Kosovo and Serbia and monitored by KFOR.

Kurti had declared that Interior Minister Agim Veliu twice has asked him to conduct police operations in these areas.

“Two times, the former interior minister, and once with Deputy Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, asked that I get my approval for police shares against crime and corruption with whom they said they were well prepared only a kind of approval on my part, of what was a deeply-trained police enterprise. I've asked them where this action is, they told me once in Zubin Potok in Karace, in that part of the territory that, under the Kumanovo agreement, it's probably not clear whether it's in Kosovo or Serbia, but we know it's part of Kosovo. Kurti has also mentioned that such police interventions that have come as an idea from Veliu were actually President Hashim Thaci's game.

Meanwhile, according to Kamenica chairman Standin Kastrati, the patrols of the Serbian gendarmerie yesterday in Karacheva have been joint action with KFOR forces.

While KFOR in a media communiqué says such patrols with the Serbian Armed Forces are routine and that yesterday's case is in the framework, adding that Serbian soldiers are never left alone.

Even Prime Minister Hoti has reacted today, saying concrete actions will soon be taken, and there is no need for panic, as according to him, borders are safe.
