Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq said in an interview for Serbia's Radio-Television that preparations for the meeting with Kosovo in Washington are under way, but do not know what the agenda will be.
Vuciq said there are many people in Serbia who would easily solve problems and insult the president of the United States, but added that he cannot do so because “would jeopardise Serbia's interests”.
“This, especially for the fact that this president is in favour of Serbia more than some other US presidents”, Vuciq said.
He said preparations are under way for the meeting and that he does not overreact if he says “Belgrade is ten times more willing than Pristina”. International representatives can also confirm this, Vuciq said.

The Serbian president said he does not know exactly what the agenda will be, but, according to him, should be about the economy.
However, Vuciq said, the possible presence of American President Donald Trump at the meeting shows that some ideas are possible.
I can tell people in Serbia that I have no doubt that for the delegation I lead and for all of us it will be a violent night, not easy, but we know our task”, Vuciq said, to add that “Serbia is most important, despite all challenges”.
He ordered Serbian citizens not to worry, and said he has experience from meetings with the highest world leaders.
This gives me the right to say that we will make wise decisions”, Vuciq said, stressing that “what is bad and destructive for the country will not be accepted”.
The US administration has confirmed to Radio Free Europe that Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, and Serbia's president, Vuciq, will meet in Washington on 4 September.
This meeting is originally scheduled for September 2nd, but has been postponed for two days, as it has been said, reason for planning.
The US administration has also confirmed that co-ordinators of the meeting will be White House National Security adviser Robert O'Brien, and United States envoy for dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Richard Green.
Speaking of the change in the meeting's date, Vuciq said Saturday that the postponement may have taken place as President of the United States Trump may also attend the meeting.
The September 4th meeting between Kosovo and Serbia is the second such one called by Washington.
The planned meeting on June 27th has been cancelled a few days before the detention, after The Hague's Specialised Prosecutor's Office has announced it has filed a war crimes indictment against Kosovo President Hashim Thaci, who has been invited to the Washington meeting.
