They were trafficked from Albania: 13 Children Found in Two Houses in Pristina

Kosovo police have found 26 people, out of them 13 children in two homes in Pristina, who were suspected of being trafficked into human beings.

Among these people was found 21-year-old with the initial M.S., who was co-existing with a 13-year-old from Greece.

Kosovo police have arrested 21-year-old while the victim has been offered shelter and treatment according to the Directorate for Trafficking in Human Beings Standard Procedures. Also, through I The LEC has been notified by the Greek office in Pristina of their citizens.

While another 24 persons have been found in two controlled houses that have returned to Albania.

Kosovo Police Department, either: The Central Sector for Trafficking in Human Being and Directorate for Migration and Foreign Affairs, supported by officials from the Centre for Social Affairs, in 18.08.2020, at the court's order they searched two locations (house) in Pristina, with the goal of verifying that some foreign nationals remain in those homes, who could be potential victims of human trafficking.

Police, in those two locations, have encountered 26 (twenties and six) persons, of them 13 children, who were mainly related to households and came from Albania”, the police statement said.
