Specifically, the photographer Bilal Yawich photographed a young nurse carrying three newborn babies in her arms, surrounded by rubble, broken glass, at the same time trying to seek help for her colleagues, doctors and patients, the Metro newspaper reports.
After 16 years as a media photographer and many wars... The same hospital, operating since 1902 and caring for at least 350,000 patients a year, is now, after an unprecedented disaster that struck Beirut, suffering from a lack of blood.
