Lebanon's capital was destroyed, many hospitals were damaged, and one of them is hospital “Al Roum”.
She was there, and more precisely in her gynaecology and obstetrics department, that took one of the most shocking photos.
Specifically, the photographer Bilal Yawich photographed a young nurse carrying three newborn babies in her arms, surrounded by rubble, broken glass, at the same time trying to seek help for her colleagues, doctors and patients, the Metro newspaper reports.

After 16 years as a media photographer and many wars... I can only say that I've never seen anything like it today, especially before the hospital “Rium” ...This heroin wrapped them up and kept them inside the hospital despite a break in communication, with three newborns in their arms, surrounded by dozens of bodies and wounded”, wrote the author of the published photograph on Facebook social network.
The same hospital, operating since 1902 and caring for at least 350,000 patients a year, is now, after an unprecedented disaster that struck Beirut, suffering from a lack of blood.
