The blast caused homes, shopping centers, hotels and businesses in this city. About 100 deaths have been reported so far and over 4,000 injured.
Beirut's governor, Marwan Abboud, broke out in tears as he visited the site of the explosion. “Beirut is a destroyed city”, he said about the media.
A video published by the DailyMail is shown by hundreds of people in the hospital who have gone to treatment or to look for their relatives desperately.
