Experts claim that many Albanians were looking forward to Plazma or Smoki, so Kosovo's current market is flooded with goods from Serbia. According to “Glas javnosti”, imports from Serbia for the month of June reached 18m euros, which exceeded Albania by 17.6m euros. Imports from Macedonia are worth 18.2m euros, and from Bosnia 3.7m euros, the Signal newspaper broadcasts.
Recent data for June shows that the Serbian state has regained its supremacy among the countries that are part of CEFTA, when it comes to exports to Kosovo.
“Glas javnosti” writes that most Albanians from Kosovo estimate that Serbian products are better quality than those produced in Kosovo, but many will not accept it.
According to the Serbian media, the majority of Albanians buy food from Serbia, so the Albanian opposition parties' long call to boycott goods from Serbia was not met with a big response.
