The Minister of Health of the Republic of Kosovo, Armendi Zemaj, hosted representatives of the Kosovo Barmacists' House today of the Kosovo Pharmaceutical Association, of the Association of Pharmaceuteic Distributors of Kosovo and other officials from the pharmaceutical community, with which he discussed the decision to abort the 02/2019 Administrative Guide for regulation of the price of products and medical equipment.

At this meeting, Minister Zemaj has explained that the annulment of Administrative Guidance has been made due to the inability to implement certain provisions, outlined by the Commission for reviewing complaints and by the Health Ministry's Legal Department.

After a long discussion about this issue, Minister Zemaj, with the goal of finding a solution to the implementation of this instruction, which has virtually remained unmet for several months, has offered several options to enable the process to proceed and make it implemented, in the interest of regulating the pharmaceuticals in Kosovo.

After this meeting, Minister Zemaj has cancelled the decision of date 04. 08. 2020, which has abolished the 02/2019 Administrator Guide to regulate the price of goods and medical equipment and has made the decision under which the MS Secretary General has been assigned to take action to complete 02/2019 Administrative Guide to regulate the price of products and medical equipment.

The Ministry of Health has also made it clear at the meeting held with the pharmaceutical community that decisions are due to the inability to implement the direction that will be met, and this has nothing to do with other interests as proven to be interpreted and misused by someone.

Political-colored interpretations following the Ministry's decision to create opportunities for increased drug prices have no basis and are simply a tendency to draw attention to the fact that the above - mentioned instruction in its form was unmet for months because of provisions that had not addressed to certain issues related to prices of products and medical equipment.
