It was seven wonderful years. In August 2013, when I received the offer from Chelsea, I was convinced that I had to play with this fan. Today I'm sure it was the right decision. There's been many beautiful moments, some bad times, there's always been a winning trophy and always intensity.
Despite the trophies, I've learned a lot about myself. I grew up, became a player and a better person. In every exercise, every match and every last minute in the dressing rooms, I've always learned.
I'm very grateful for Chelsea's fans for their reception at Istanbul Bridge and their support. There's been criticism, which is normal, but what's most important is that there was a perfection on both sides. It's time to move. You're gonna miss your teammates. All of Chelsea's personnel who treated me like a boy and they're gonna miss fans. I head off because I won the trophy and I've done my best for Chelsea”, he writes.
