In Brussels, expert meetings under dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia have been launched by the European Union.
As has already become practical, even today the parties first hold ticket meetings with Special Envoy for Dialogue Miroslav Lajcak and EU officials, and then the joint meeting between the three sides takes place.
Bible Appointments The EU with the Kosovo delegation and then Serbia's will last all morning. Then there will be a lunch break to continue in the afternoon with the trilateral meeting. According to EU sources, which have not provided much detail, during today's meetings two topics will be discussed; displaced people and economic co-operation. Both topics were discussed at the latest expert-level meeting in July.
Kosovo's delegation to expert-level talks leads the state co-ordinator for dialogue, Skender Hyseni, While he is also expected to be accompanied by Muhamet Mustafa and Ibrahim Makolli as experts on topics that are in order.
Serbia's delegation leads the head of the Office for Kosovo in Serbia's Government, Marko Djuric.
Since the high level dialogue was resumed, except for the two meetings of Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, and Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, three expert-level meetings have taken place. The chief of the Kosovo delegation at these meetings, Skender Hyseni, has always insisted that the talks are political and not technical and that the comprehensive agreement is being prepared in them, which will include mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.
On the other hand, Serbia's delegation has dismissed that it is talking about recognition of Kosovo and has insisted that the implementation of all agreements, which were previously reached in this dialogue, should also be discussed.
A week after today's meeting in Brussels, the Washington summit, called by the United States, will also take place. In the EU, they do not view that meeting as competition or competition between them and the US, but only as fulfilling efforts to normalise reports between Kosovo and Serbia.
During autumn, according to EU sources, an increase in the dynamics of meetings are expected, both at the high level and in that of experts.
In the first part of September, Kosovo Prime Minister Hoti can meet in Brussels, and Serbia's president, Vuciq, while expert meetings can be held regularly, at least once a week, if circumstances can afford that and parties will be willing.
