Renowned lawyer Arian Koci talks about why a Special Court for Serbian Crimes should be established in Kosovo.
He writes:
Serbian State Crimes
War criminal Ratko Mladic, at The Hague yesterday, has presented his complaint before the tribunal.
Otherwise, Mladic is sentenced to life imprisonment.
The commander of the Serbian Army in Republika Srpska (1992- 1995), is responsible for four joint criminal enterprises.
Within them for:
-The genocide committed in Srebernica against 8,000 males;
-The terrorism of Sarajevo citizens, during the blocking of this city;
-Failing and committing crimes against Bosnia's Bosniaks and Croats;
The planning on kidnapping United Nations soldiers who had to serve as shield and security that NATO would not attack Serb targets in Bosnia.
The first - instance Court of The Hague in 2017 has convicted Mladic of genocide in Srebernica, even of crimes against humanity in 15 municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His crime partner, Radovan Karadić, has also been sentenced to life imprisonment, while his other colleague, Slobodan Milochev, died at The Hague detention centre in 2006.
However, for crimes in Kosovo, genocide and crimes against humanity, there is not even a near Serb convict.
Therefore, a Special Court for Serbian State Crimes in Kosovo must be established.
