Government of the Republic of Kosovo Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti had a telephone conversation with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, who thanked him for KFOR's role in peace and security in Kosovo today.
This was made known through a communique for the media by the prime minister's office.
In this case, Prime Minister Hoti also praised the work of the NATO Consultative and Interconnecting Team (NALT), which is providing significant assistance to advancing Kosovo security institutions.
Prime Minister Hoti has also praised KFOR's assistance in managing the COVID-19 pandemic.
Likewise, Prime Minister Hoti stressed that the Republic of Kosovo is committed to building its Euro-Atlantic future and becoming part of NATO and other international institutions as soon as possible.
“While Secretary Stoltenberg assured Prime Minister Hoti that NATO will continue to co-operate closely with Kosovo institutions to ensure a peaceful environment and a secure future for all its citizens and the region, as well as support for the dialogue process with Serbia as the only way to provide long-term political solutions”, the media community said.
Meanwhile, the prime minister's office did not disclose whether the topic of discussion was also the case of the Serbian gendarmerie's entry into Kosovo territory, which caused great fuss in opinion and the political scene.
