Today, the Donors' Forum for Economic Recuperation has been held. The meeting was held between Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami, Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti, while non-resident representatives were Ambassador of the United States to Kosovo Philip Costet, European Union representative in Kosovo, Riccardo Serry, as well as representatives of donor countries in Kosovo, development agencies and international financial institutions.
The meeting was aimed at discussing the joint approach of the Government of Kosovo and donors to finance the country's economic recovery needed after COVID-19's pandemic.
Hot in his “account Facebook” says it has unveiled the Kosovo Government's long-term vision of economic recovery and donor involvement in financing the country's priorities.
The immediate assistance mobilised by donors through projects, support of the country's budget and investment loans, with the aim of economic recovery in 2020 and planned for next year, amounts to over 400m euros”, it wrote.
According to him, the Kosovo government will draft the National Development Strategy for the next 10 years, which will be oriented for reforms and the country's long-term goals for sustainable development, in line with the country's aspirations for European integration.
While enabling economic recovery, Hoti promises a more detailed investment plan will be drafted for the next five years, which will be financed by the country's budget, donors and in co-operation with the private sector.
