Navalny has been sent from Siberia to Germany on August 22nd, after his condition had deteriorated on a flight to Moscow.
Doctors have said there have been disorders with metabolism.
Navalny's assistants have said they believe he was poisoned when he drank a glass of tea that he bought at Tomsk City Airport before he left for Moscow.
That's why the plane has been forced to make an emergency landing, since Navalny's not feeling well.
“We are facing a patient who probably poisoned”, said Stephen Seibert, spokesman for German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
There are suspicions that someone poisoned Navajo that someone seriously poisoned Navajo and that unfortunately we have examples of recent history in Russia. So the world considers this doubt very seriously”, he said on August 24th.
“Once there is the possibility of attack through poisoning, defense is required”, added among other things, Seibert.
The Health Ministry for the Omsk region, where Navalny was initially treated, has said on August 22nd that caffeine and alcohol have been found in the Navalnyt organisation but not “any synthetic poison”.
Dirk Wiese, co-ordinator of the German government on Eastern European issues, has told public broadcaster ZDF that the Russian opposition leader continues to be in critical but stable condition at the Charite Hospital in Berlin.
Wiese has said German police are guarding the Navajo room as a precautionary measure.
