Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Melza Haradinaj- Stublla has provided some clarifications about “illegal and unauthorised intervention” of the Serbian gendarmerie on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo.
Haradinaj- Stublla through a post in her account “Facebook” has clarified what synchronized patrol means.
The synchronized structure implies that each military force operates within its own territory and does not cross the border. The sides agree to move along the border line, and in due time they report to each other what they have seen on their ground during the synchronised patrol”, she wrote, stressing that the August 7th event in Karatcheva does not result in being a synchronized patrol, but, as the joint patrol with Serbia, for which there is no mandate or authorisation.
The concerned people should explain whether Serbia has violated the agreement with NATO that entered 300m within Kosovo's territory or has done so with preliminary approval! The terrorisation of the Albanian people of the border village with Serbia, through the defile of Serbian uniform and recalling Serbia's genocide crimes in Kosovo, does not help normalise relations, reconciliation, nor establish peace and stability in the region. The Serbian military and police uniform on Kosovo's territory opened the wounds of unpunished crimes, and the 1999-<x1-> war traumas, the minister Haradinaj- Staubla wrote.
According to her, security mechanisms should in no way allow, much less facilitate such patrols on the territory of the Republic of Kosovo, causing concerns and uncertainty in citizens on that side, disturb peace, and provoke violence and self-defence.
Haradinaj-Stubla said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspore calls on the international community to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Kosovo, as they have recognised nearly 2/3th of the world states, 22 of the 27 EU member states, and 26 of the 30 NATO member states, and also to respect the International Court of Justice's decision confirming the full legality of the Republic of Kosovo with February 17th 2008 at the existing borders. The action according to the Constitution and the Law is not a pompous statement, but a state duty we should follow all” has written further.
Peacekeeping Mission NATO in Kosovo, known as the KFOR February, has declared that on 7 August, in the municipality of Kamenica, they have developed a patrol synchronized with the Serbian Armed Forces, along the administrative border line, near the village of Hodonovc.
