A history professor who has accurately predicted the outcome of all US presidential elections since 1984, says Democrat Joe Biden will be the next president of the United States and that Donald Trump will lose the White House this time.
Allan Lichtman, professor of American University, says he uses what he calls the “13 main factors” to predict the election results.
Lichtman's main factors for a current candidate include long- and short-term economic conditions, scandals, social unrest and personality and charismatic candidate capacity.
These factors predict that Trump will lose the White House”, but not with a profound result, says Professor Lichtman.
Lichtman gives Beden, the expected Democrats, the advantage over seven factors of his prediction, such as social unrest, the corruption of the coronary, and how the economy is being destabilised, as well as the impact of the process on the dismissal of Trump.
Trump has the advantage of six determining factors the professor uses for his prediction. They include the post of president, the fact that the Republicans have no serious main challenger, no major military failure abroad, and what Lichtmann calls the lack of the Biden career.
Although Professor Lichtman is predicting a tight race, a review of the latest surveys by CNN shows that the Biden candidate is on the road to a deep victory. A Fox News network survey shows that the elections will be slightly narrower, but again predicts the Benden victory.
Whether a voter is a Republican or a Democrat, Lichtman says, citizens' participation is essential.
It's up to you, voters, to decide the future of our democracy,” He said. So come out and vote. Vote in person. Vote by mail. ”
Lichtman has accurately predicted every presidential election since Republican Ronald Reagan defeated Democrat Walter Mondale in 1984.
He predicted that Democrat Al Gore, would defeat Republican George W. Bush in 2000 and remains loyal to his prediction. Mr. Gore won the popular vote, but the Supreme Court ruled in favour of Mr. Bush after a long-standing dispute over voting in Florida.
