While the Dortmund team is already preparing for the 2020/ 21, which is expected to begin on September 18th, the old season has not yet ended for Munich Bayern. The return fight in Champions against Chelsea is 8 August.

After victory 3-0 in London, at the round-up meeting they are most likely to continue their journey, so procedures are planned exactly afterwards: ahead of the quarterfinals on August 14th (possibly opponents: Barcelona, or Naples, in Lisbon, the team from Munich will stay four days in the training camp in Portugal, but that is where stress arises for Bundesliga champions.

Of course Champions is a target for Flick's team, but if the Germans go to the finals, it seems hard for them to have summer holidays. The coach's idea is to give each of them at least 14 days' permission, but that meant that for the Bundesliga opening match, Bayerni would come down to the field with only 9 days of training, since the Champions final is August 23rd.

Another problem for Bayern is the German Federation, which has on schedule on September 3rd the League of Nations match against Spain and DFB Vice President Rainer Koh, has recently come out that he does not want to play without the bavarres. Even if that was not enough, on September 11, the German Cup begins, which truly opens frightening scenarios.

Basher
Word now circulates that perhaps Bayerni may seek to postpone the first two championship meetings to recover from the season, or the Bundesliga start could be postponed in a week or two after September 18th. Something like that will be discussed at the August 4th meeting, while the calendar is originally designed to be unveiled on August 7th. For all these possibilities, Christian Saifert, chief of the German League has left a possibility: “We're living this year on something extraordinary, so they're not exempted from making unusual decisions on our part, because of the new times”.
