A newborn girl has been found abandoned in a garbage dump in southern China. Her parents, it is suspected, had left her behind after wanting a son.

According to reports, the baby had been abandoned by her father just hours after his birth because his family already had two daughters. The girl's presence in the vicinity of the basket was observed by a street janitor who just saw the police call immediately.

The parents of the minor have immediately been arrested by the police and overloaded on charges of abandonment.
