Increasing the number of positive cases with coronarys and the large number of deaths had forced Government to impose strict measures for citizens and businesses in the country.
The wearing of the mask and keeping the physical distance had been recommended since the appearance of the first cases of coronarys in Kosovo, but after citizens did not respect them, these measures were imposed.
In fact, on July 14th, all citizens who did not place masks on public spaces would be punished by the moment they left their homes.
There is also punishment for local owners in which physical distance is not maintained.
The measures taken were based on the Law to combat infectious diseases, on which punishment measures were also based for those who did not respect the decisions of the State.
Food and Veterinary Agency spokesman Lamir Thaci has told Gazeta Express that fines have been pronounced against all those who have not respected government decisions.
“Observation in the implementation of measures has been realised in close co-operation with the Kosovo Police and the central and local level inspectors. Fines to all violators of measures imposed by the government have been pronounced fines”, Thaci has said.
Sanitary inspectors at the beginning of the month were publicly criticised by Prime Minister Hoti, who said they were visible when they went out to inspect.
“With concern I accepted the information that, in certain cases, inspectors are selective towards those who do not respect the measures. This will not be tolerated. Tomorrow I'm going to have a written report from the relevant 48x1> institutions said Hoti.
But, Thaci has declared that the Sanitary Inspectorate has issued decisions for isolation and isolation, as well as the warrant for disinfectation.
The AUV's Sanitary Inspector has issued decisions on isolation and the warrant for disinfectation, where during this period of time the following: Inspectation on hotel subjects, business operators, daybooks, schools, educational institutions, airports, border points and so on, outing the detention facilities for persons found to be affected by COVID 19, is to leave the locations for physical persons at the time they exceed the stage of isolation and recovery (at the moment considered to heal burial procedures for the people who died from COVI19-1). Thaci declared.
Thaci has indicated that since Wednesday, the competent organs for the pronunciation of penal measures will continue with the new Law that has entered into force.
“From 2608.2020 with DEGY entry into force NR. 07/ L-006 P THREE THE PRENDALING AND THE WARING OF COVIED ENVY-19 IN THE REPUBLIC TERRITORY IN COSOVA, competent organs for the pronunciation of penal measures have begun fined offenders based on this law”, Thaci has said of Express.
Meanwhile, from July 14th to August 23rd, the ISK has conducted 11 thousand and 392 inspections, out of which 1,000 and 946 fines have been pronounced for the physical persons of 439 for legal persons.
“While the beginning of the pronunciation of the mandated fines that we as authorities began with the 1407.2020 to 23.08.2020, the Sanitary Inspectorate of the Food and Veterinary Agency have pronounced fines as follows: A total of 11392 inspections, 1946 fines for physical persons, 439 for legal persons, 1769 decisions for isolation, 835 decisions for isolation, 258 cases of burial procedures monitoring”, Thaci has declared.
The sentences, which ISC and police inspectors have pronounced by August 23rd, are in advance with the Law to prevent and fight infectious diseases, where the Government of Kosovo is based on measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
As of August 25th, the new Law on Combating COVID-19 has been enacted.
According to the Law, every person who fails to wear the mask is sentenced to 35 euros, while the one who respects the ban will be sentenced to 200 euros.
Those who do not respect the isolation will be sentenced to 500 euros.
The government's decision, which obliges citizens to wear masks and respect physical distance, has entered into force from July 14th.
