Jackson Houlding, three, and his seven-year-old sister, Freya, arrived at the top of Mount Piz Badile, located at the border of Switzerland and Italy, led by their father Leo and Mother Jess.
Both children made history after Freya became the youngest person to climb the mountain without backing, while Jackson is the youngest to reach the summit. The British family began climbing on July 25th.
Leo, who is a professional climber, said: my daughter climbed all the way herself, including all the walking and everything, was very impressive. She turned seven years last week”.
My wife Jess carried Jackson, who weighs about 15 kilos, on my back and I carried all the camp equipment and food”. “We have done a lot of things in the United Kingdom and Europe in the past years, but every summer the children are older and better than a year ago”, he said.
After the family finished climbing, Leo and Jess rewarded their children with candy. The next family climb will be a multi-day trip to Montenegro's highest mountains.
