Xavi confession has clear message for Seth and Barcelona

Xavi Hernández doesn't hide. He has a dream, become Barcelona coach. When this is happening, he is unable to say it at the moment, as he continues to take “down to” in this role on Al Sad's bench in Qatar. In an interview for “Marca”, former Catalan and “team star La Rooner” also describes his football philosophy.

As a player, you represented a very special style. As a coach, depending on players, did you have to give up your beliefs? I'm very clear about my ideas, my game system. I believe in the possession of the ball as much as possible, in the pressure up, playing the enemy's field, attacking. This is the football I've experienced at Barca and Spain: dominant with the ball, creating opportunities. I understand football like this and I think I'm gonna win this way. That way you're closer to winning.

So do you think quality football is possible without maximum quality players?
I am fully convinced that, no matter where you are and what players you have, it is possible to convey this idea of the game. Just convince the players they'll be better and they'll make it easier. Of course, Al Sad is not Barca, but we tried to play back, with a good technical level. Players are convinced they win this way.

Do you imagine yourself in Qatar for a short term, or can there be any surprises if you are called back by Barcelona?
I don't hide, I've always said my main goal, when it happens, is the direction of Barca. That's my house, it's my dream to be her coach. But for now I'm focused on Al Sad, looking forward to the new season. When Barca must come as an opportunity, in the short or long term, it will happen. Above all, Quique Sethién must be respected. I wish the team everything was good.

Sethién promised good football after arrival. Do you think you're doing well?
Sometimes Barca plays very well; others, good or bad. But I like the idea of Sethién, the present and his former teams: to dominate and play an attractive game. Sometimes it is not possible, for rivals make it difficult. We've seen very nice and very good matches for Barca and Sethié. No doubt about it.

Do you see logical complaints about arbitration, which came from Barcelona to the last La League?
I don't like to think too much of the judges' work. Their work is already very difficult. WAR problems need to be analyzed. There will always be controversy.
