Interior Minister Agim Veliu hosted the Anti-Corruption Agency director, Shaip Havolli, with whom they talked about co-operation between the two institutions.
In this case, Minister Veliu estimated that security and fighting negative phenomena that violate security are very important in a democratic society.
He said the role of the Kosovo Police and Anti-Corruption Agency are guaranteed to fight any crime, in particular corruption, as well as preventing cases of conflict of interest.
According to a ministry report, in this meeting with particular emphasis, joint projects and the role of both institutions to support each other in fighting corruption were discussed.
It was common agreement that fighting corruption will affect improving citizens' confidence in Kosovo institutions, and would also have a positive impact on the assessments of organisations monitoring the process.
