Furthermore, this number of goals has scored two football players. Cristiano Ronaldo and Ciro Immmobile are in direct competition for the best goalist of the 2019/20 edition of the Italian championship, while the winner will grab the prize known as the Capocannier.
In Juventu's victory (2-1) against Lazio, the Portuguese superstar scored two goals initially equalizing his rival and then overcoming him. However, the Italian assailant scored from penalty during that challenge and again equated CR7 on the list of best goal scorers, with 30 goals. At one time, both of these football players were marked by twelve-footers this season.
The first and only time when two players had scored more than 30 goals within a season in Serie A, had occurred in the 1950/1951 edition, when Gunnar Nordahl (Milan) and Istvan Niers (Inter) had touched these figures.
Ronaldo and Immmobile can also challenge the winning record of the 36th Italian championship -- held by Gonzalo Higuiin, who in the 2015/2016 season had marked them with Naples.
Also, both these players are in competition for European Golden Shoe as they have only four goals less than leader Robert Leandowski, while in Serie A there are four laps to develop.
