The total number of infected increased to 43,678, while the deaths to 2 165. These numbers prompted Italian Health Minister Roberto Spranza to put Romania on the list of countries from which those arriving in Italy will be forced into a 14-day quarantine. Meanwhile, Greek Deputy Minister for Civil Protection and Crisis Management Nikos Hardalias today declared that all passengers who arrive in Greece from Bulgaria and Romania on air routes should officially prove they have conducted a test for Covid-19 and have resulted negative, reports ATS. The decision will come into effect on Tuesday and will remain in force until August 4th”, the minister said. ”Time during which passengers should show a negative result for molecular control (PCR), taken up to 72 hours before their arrival in Greece”, he stressed. ” Passenger Identification resources (PLF) must also be delivered at least 24 hours before arrival in Greece”, Hardalias said. |
