President Macro's office gives meeting details with Avdullah Hoti

As reported in the Presidency's announcement, at the meeting between Makron and Hoti was discussed for the resumption of Kosovo dialogue, Serbia and the solution to the problem between the two states.

The president of the Republic on Tuesday (July 7th) received Kosovo's Prime Minister, Mr. Avdullah Hoti, to discuss the revival of dialogue on normalisation between Serbia and Kosovo, which is an essential element of the stability and security of the Western Balkans and relevant prospects for membership in the European Union of the two countries”, the report says.

The Macroni office also mentioned in the announcement holding the video on Friday, July 10, which he and German Chancellor Angela Merkel organise.

 

“With the initiative of the president of the Republic and German Chancellor, a summit will be held on July 10th with videoconferencing to reopen dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo, interrupted 18 months ago, and allow the European Union to ease their differences”.

 

This summit will be followed by it already held in Berlin on April 29, 2019. It will be the result of steps France and Germany have taken together with Serbia and Kosovo, aimed at consolidating stability in the Balkans and strengthening their ties with the European Union
