Andrea Pirlo has agreed to assume the responsibility of Juventu's U-23 team, in order to probably become a first team coach one day.
Sky Sports Italy and journalist Fabrizio Romano report that the appointment has been made and that Pirlo will be assisted by the coach of Naples Primavera, Roberto Baronio.
Baronio joined the former Milan midfield after winning the U21 European Championship with Italy in 2000 and playing together at the Summer Olympics.
Pirlo will replace Fabio Pecchia, who led you U23 to Coppa Italia Serie C, but failed to win promotion in Serbia B in the 2019-20 season.
The World Cup winner put his shoes on the nail in 2017 while playing for the American team from MLS, New York City FC.
He continued working as an expert for Sky Sport Italy, but, meanwhile, studied the coach's voice and completed his licenses successfully.
