A month's detention for the person who killed his wife with metal rod

The Foundation Court in Gjilan has announced that it has approved the Constitutional Prosecutor's request and has imposed a month of detention for the defendant who killed his wife in the village of Birvojca Kamenica.

“There is suspicion that during yesterday's day, in the village of Berivojca, the municipality of Kamenica, the suspect N.M., following family disputes, with a strong metal rod, hits his wife on the head and other parts of the body, with the death cases causing wounds that have been fatal to”, the court report said.

According to the announcement, with these actions the defendant is suspected to have committed criminal work “severe murder” the act sanctioned with the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (KPRK).

The primary procedure judge at the Randa Crime Department, after examining the subject paperwork, has considered that legal conditions for the appointment of the detention measure have been met, taking on the weight of criminal work, where the minimum sentence is envisioned 10 years, while maximum life imprisonment and the appointment of alternative measures would be insufficient for successful development of criminal procedure.

The sides have the right to appeal to this decision at the Court of Appeals.
