Mario Mandzukic has officially terminated his contract with Al-Duhal with mutual consent and is back on the market, where Benevento and Milan are spoken of as potential destinations.
There were suggestions the Croatian attacker would return to Serie A after his experience with Juvento, joining Pippo Inzagi's Benevento after the promotion.
Milan had already shown interest in Mandzukic before his transfer to Qatar, and it would be a replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic next season, broadcast news.net.
This afternoon, the 34-year-old announced that he is a free agent, just seven months after signing for Al-Duhail.
Mandzukic wore Juventu's fanfare from 2015 to January 2020, marking 44 goals in 162 competition matches for the club.
