The black club and the Italian company, as Calcio and Finanza have announced, will disrupt the historic relationship in 2021, when the last sponsorship contract will expire.
It will thus end a link that has lasted over 25 years and, since 1995, has filled the club's crates of more than 235m euros.
Sunning's goal is to sign a new deal to double Pirelli's 12 million to 25-30 that would guarantee a real estate colossus like Evergrand.
Pirelli has officially become part of Inter's history on June 14th 1995, when Massimo Morati and Marco Trochetti Provera signed the first contract.
The first deal had a value of 4 billion liras and a 3-year-old duration: from the season 95/95/96 to 97/98, the one Ronaldo landed in Milan immediately becoming the symbol of the team and the image of Pirelli, in a commercial that became legendary.
Now, Zhang's group is ready to finally cut ties with the past, and the new owners' ambition is to reach financial deals with those of Europe's major clubs.
