Family members of people who died as a result of the coronary are insisting that they have the same autopsy.
The director general of the Institute of Legal Medicine, Arsim Gerjaliu, in an interview for Online Economics, has explained that to do autopsys for infected people who die of Coronavirus, it takes a warrant from the prosecution.
For most cases now, family members are insisting that an autopsy be done to the same people, but there are cases that don't happen, but we work only with the prosecutor's order because the case should be opened to the police and the prosecutor, and there are no autopsys on our request, and we are not the ones we can release case”, he added.
As for handing over the report to the prosecutor, in terms of suspicious deaths at QKUK from the virus, Gerjaliu added that time is needed to do specific tests.
On the other hand, he said that in case of these tests, measures have been taken to be sent out of Kosovo as well.
“As far as the report is concerned, it takes time to do the specific analysis. We have also taken double measures in case they are sent even outside Kosovo and are working with essential staff”.
It takes time and laboratory preparations so they're not ready for now. We have only those preliminaries that we have spoken about orally with prosecutors”, Gerjaliu said.
