European Union gives 100m-euro loan to Kosovo

The Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Kosovo have signed the Makro-Finance Assistance Credit Agreement with the European Union, worth 100m euros. The agreement is signed by Finance Minister Hykmete Bajrami, deputy governor of Kosovo Central Bank Sokol Havolli, and, on the part of the European Union, has been signed by Economic Commissioner Paolo Gentillon.
This Agreement has come as a result of opening the potential for this European Union scheme and for Western Balkan countries. The macro-financial assistance is provided in interconnection with assistance from the International International National Tar Fund, which in April 2020 approved the Kosovo Fast Financing Tool, worth 51.6m euros,”.
“This loan will help in the Economic Regeneration Plan and in implementing emergency measures, the Ministry of Finance reports Klan Kosova. Part of the distribution depends on meeting certain criteria the Government of Kosovo has pledged to implement precisely as they help improve the Public Administration in Kosovo and boost Transparency”.
