Believers in Kosovo today celebrate without prayer in mosques because of the risk of spreading the Codvid-19 pandemic.
Representatives of state and religious institutions have called on that as a result of the situation created with the Cavid-19 pandemic, this holiday pass without family and traditional visits.
Apart from the emissary in the Great Mosque, the former era of this festival was not seen by believers.
Kosovo mufti Naim Ternava, in an address to the media on Thursday, has confirmed that because of the heavy condition with Covid-19, the Kurban Bajrami prayer in Kosovo mosques will not be forgiven.
Prayers in the country's mosques will also be suspended for 10 days. He said this step was taken for him.
Maintain public health. Ternava has also appealed for family visits.
“BIK has analysed the situation that is ruling even in our ruthlessly hit Kosovo by this Cavid-19 virus, and the recent gathering of its leadership was discussed about this huge problem that is already present among our citizens. So BIK warns all believers that the forgiveness of the Kurban Bayram Prayer is suspended, and that in 10 days there is a 10-day suspension of prayers in Kosovo mosques. Certainly with the sole goal of preserving the health of Kosovo citizens”, he said.
Ternava said this is one of the most painful decisions she has made BIK, but it's more than appropriate, at this time of pandemic. He said that preserving public health is also a divine obligation.
It's a painful decision for BIK, but a valid decision because we as BIK have the priority to maintain the public health of citizens because that's how the Koran teaches us, so Muhammad teaches us. I pray to God in this case that all who have died of even the Ovid 19th virus have been merciful by His mercy. Those who are affected with this virus heal us all to allow us to respect the rules that come out of the Kosovo government, MS, IKSHP and BIK to have as little infected”, he said.
Mufti Ternava has invited all citizens to maintain the festive character of the holiday, but at this time the pandemic will have more understanding, discipline, solidarity, support and care for those in need, especially those who are being tested by the Cavius-19 virus.
