The Kosovo Football Federation Race Commission has reacted after what happened yesterday in the match between Gjilan and Pristina.
Police used eye spray on coach Armend Dalku, a player and other officials, as the situation advanced following Pristina goalkeeper Visar Bekim's red expulsion, writes Periscopi.
Below, full response:
The Competition Commission estimates that this championship is one of the most interesting since the post-war, where both the title and survival competition is massive and unclear. This has no doubt contributed to increased rivalry and soccer quality, but it has naturally increased pressure on clubs and game officials. The KG expresses concern about the recent event in Gjilan, in the Gnjilane Pristina match, which creates a bad image for our football. The KG will discuss and review all official evidence and materials at the next meeting after the end of the 29th week matches in Ipko Superliga. In this case, we appeal that clubs refrain from reckless statements and violent acts, separate from club officials, who in many cases are promoting unpleasant situations within the green field. We also once ask trainers to be a good example and to remain calm as we appeal to the judges to do their work professionally and not to succumb to pressures or influences. The Competition Commission will continue to work with all other NFFs for better management and successful completion of this competition edition.
With respect,
Race Commission
Abdel Bellopo, chairman
